Fayette Alliance Wants You to #VoteSmart

Local government officials decide matters that directly impact our quality of life on a daily basis. One of the central functions of local government is regulation of land uses through planning and zoning laws. These laws provide the means for a community to express a vision of what it wants to be and how to achieve that vision. Planning and zoning laws are the building blocks for a better quality of life, economy, and environment for our whole community.

As your voice for smart growth in Fayette County, Fayette Alliance positively impacts planning and zoning polices by advocating for laws at City Hall that sustainably grow our city and promote our farms.

Voting is the most fundamental way to ensure your voice counts! In 2018, elections for mayor, at-large council members, and all council districts will be on the ballot. Find your council district.

Make sure you register to vote by April 23, 2018 and know your voter location.

2018 Primary Election: Tuesday, May 22, 2018

2018 General Election: Tuesday, November 2, 2018

We want you to be informed about where candidates stand on the most pressing growth issues facing our community. Fayette Alliance has partnered with AARP of Kentucky, Fayette County Farm Bureau, Fayette County Neighborhood Council, and the Kentucky Thoroughbred
Association to circulate a questionnaire to candidates this election season.

A short questionnaire will be circulated to candidates who have primary races this Spring. A more comprehensive questionnaire will be circulated for all candidates in the general election in the Fall.

Along with our partners, Fayette Alliance will also host a forum for mayoral and at-large council candidates in the Fall.
